Art Production is Underway (v0.2.0 Progress Report)


Hello! 


Apologies for the gap between announcements, there was not a lot to share. As of today, I can share with you all that we have moved onto the art phase of the next update! The writing is done, the code is all in the game and working (scene transitions, sprite transformations, etc.), new music has been selected, and now all we have to do is draw everything. Don't get your hopes up too much, though. It sounds a lot simpler than it actually is. The art for v0.1.0 took 5 months to draw, so expect the art for v0.2.0 to take somewhere around that long. I know that may sound unreasonable, but this isn't a job for me or my artist. It's a passion project, meaning we need to put other things before this game. 


With all that said, there is a way you can speed up the process. I have recently started a Subscribestar page for Love Me Not where you can choose between 4 different tiers ranging from $1 - $11, all with different perks, including the ability to play new updates 2 weeks before the public launch! There is also a Founders Tier which, among other things, gives you 1 free commissioned doodle from @puppyk1nz (twitter handle), the artist for Love Me Not. By supporting the game, not only will you help finish the game faster, but it keeps the people working on the game motivated. Of course, you can always accomplish the same thing by sharing your feedback of the game in either the comments of the itch.io page or in the upcoming Discord server!
